Since the 1980’s, Debra Toombs has been active in community theatre and has written and performed her own plays for various church drama ministries. Outcast was written after the death of her mother as she reflected on her life. The book was recognized as an award- winning book in the biblical Christian genre for the 2018 Readers Favorite award. Debra has two children and currently performs music written by herself. She will be releasing her first single in the coming year. Her writing theme is centered around helping people to renew their mind and reach toward a better place, rather than settling for the status quo. She believes that everyone has untapped potential, and she encourages people to find their voice and rise above their circumstances.
